LoginTC bringing revolutionary two-factor authentication solution to Government of Canada through Software Licensing Supply Arrangement (SLSA)
OTTAWA, Jan. 23, 2015 — Enhanced login security has officially become more attainable to the Government of Canada, as Cyphercor Inc. announces that its revolutionary two-factor authentication product, LoginTC, has been approved by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for a national Software Licensing Supply Arrangement (SLSA).
The arrangement, recently extended until December 2017, places Cyphercor on a list of around just 200 qualified suppliers from which federal departments and agencies can procure software and shared services in the most efficient manner possible. This streamlines the process through which GoC clients can benefit from LoginTC’s two-factor authentication solution, which is more scalable, seamless and secure — yet up to 75% less costly — than the RSA tokens and PKI certificates currently in use.
The supply arrangement number is EN578-100808/199/EE.
“We are very pleased to have been awarded this arrangement. Increasing the availability of our product to the federal market is a critical step toward protecting important government assets, the security of which is vital to the entire Canadian public,” says Hernan Matute, CEO of Cyphercor Inc.
“Through SLSA, our Government Licensing Program (GLP) will offer substantial volume discounts, and be the quickest, easiest way to purchase licensing for large environments by reducing the paperwork and administrative headaches associated with traditional contract licensing programs.”
About LoginTC
LoginTC is an enterprise-grade, cloud-based two-factor authentication (2FA) solution that leverages virtualization and mobile investments to complement and protect existing IT practices and infrastructure. It delivers an elegant and supremely secure online experience, scalable for millions of users, without significant costs. End-users install the LoginTC app on their mobile device (Blackberry, Apple, Android) or Google Chrome, converting their device or desktop into a second factor credential by loading administrator-issued tokens in the app. Future first-factor (username/password) access attempts to a LoginTC-enabled VPN or corporate application push a second factor request to the device. The rich app interface then prompts users to approve or deny the access request.
Companies ranging from SMBs to enterprises — including LTG Federal, Infostrada and Harlequin — as well as government organizations already trust LoginTC. This can be attributed to LoginTC’s unique and sought after characteristics: no Personally Identifiable Information (PII), secure remote password (SRP) protocol protection, push notifications rather than SMS for worldwide access, and fraud detection integration with dynamic CONTEXTUAL information for real-time threat alert.
Cyphercor Inc., the developer of LoginTC, is headquartered in Ottawa. For more information about Cyphercor and its solutions, visit https://www.logintc.com/ and follow on Twitter and LinkedIn.
